Let's Talk Concerts

 Hi friends,

I have been overwhelmed with school and work, but I did not forget about my beloved blog. Hope October has been good to everyone! Today I wanted to write about live music, one of the most unique and fun outings in my opinion.

I was lucky enough to see Role Model aka my best friend Tucker (lol) in concert on the ninth of this month, with my cousin. He is so fun!!! I have been a fan of his since forever&more came out and I instantly fell in love with his music, so it has been about five years now of me wanting to see him live. He has obviously grown so much as an artist and many people know him now for being a troll on the internet, because he is also one of the funniest people. I am super happy I got to see Tucker, and my favorite songs performed were probably Harmony, Good Thing, and Some Protector. His voice sounds maybe even better in person, and I recommend his shows to anyone!

It feels crazy to say but my true first concert ever (it came at an older age than most) was Harry Styles during his 2021 Love On Tour run. It was an insane show and definitely gave me the concert bug. I really did get post-concert depression after that lol. Following this I saw Ashe in early 2022, which was a completely different experience, but also a blast. It was a much smaller venue and my friend and I were close to the front, so the videos I have from that one are awesome and Ashe is the sweetest person. Later on that year I got to see Harry twice more (crazy I know), and Harry's House had come out, so the setlist was new and so great to hear. Both nights are incredible memories of mine.

I have seen my fair share of country concerts with friends as well. My favorite one has to be when a big group of us went to Parker McCollum on my 21st birthday. When I go to his shows, I am always in the back just enjoying the music and social aspect, because we never really can see Parker. Another bucket list concert I was able to attend was George Strait this past spring with my brother. He is a huge fan, so it was the perfect sibling day, and I heard songs I always wanted to hear live that night, so it was very good overall.

The next concert on the schedule is.... no surprise... Harry Styles! This time will be extra special because my best friend is seeing him for her first time with me. I have a few months to prepare, and need to get thinking more about what I am going to wear. I am so excited to see my favorite artist again, because it has been a while now, and I feel like a different person tbh!

I would love to hear what you guys' favorite concerts have been orrr what artists are on your must-see list. Mine are Coldplay, and Taylor Swift. Fingers crossed!!

Not to get all dark....

My bucket list!

I like to think I have a very interesting assortment of things I want to do/see in my life. I am positive this list will grow because I am always adding to it, but this is what it consists of right now.

Some of these may make you laugh but wowww I truly long for each one of them to happen :0

1. See Coldplay live in concert.

You guysss! The videos I see of their concerts linger in my mind constantly. I love everything about Coldplay and live music in general, so I know this experience would change my life. I am not sure who I would go with or when, but Lord willing I find myself in that stadium listening to some of my favorite songs ever.

2. Crash a wedding.

I would appreciate any insight ya'll have on this subject lol but it seems very achievable to me. I do not intend to cause any chaos at a strangers wedding, just simply enjoy all the amazing aspects of a perfectly planned party. I have also gotten my boyfriend on board for this, and I know he would be the most ideal person to do this with, as he is very committed to a bit. We will of course go full Wedding Crashers and be very well versed on the family lore and our backstories. THAT is a movie recommendation for you, if for some reason you've never seen it.

3. Someone names their child after me.

Yes, I am aware this is sort of conceited, but talk about the highest honor!! Even if it is a second/middle name or an indirect nickname reference, I would cry if I was thought of in this way. If my best friends are reading this, please consider me. Not much to say about this one but how cool does it sound loll.

4. See the Northern Lights.

This is a newer addition but I already know it is an absolute must-do. This is a wonder that I know pictures do not do justice for, and looking at them in person seems ethereal. I need to study more on the scientific context of them and how we are able to see such an insane display.

5. Become a regular at a local cafe.

Okay, this is certainly the most easily achievable one. I just love the idea of walking in and being greeted by employees who know me and have become a part of my (almost) every day routine. Maybe I watch too much tv but I imagine a scenario where they have my order ready before I even arrive because they know what time it will be and what I like to get. One of my favorite things is connecting with food service workers, probably because I used to be one myself, so I think that is where this desire stems from to be honest.

6. My boyfriend gets in a fight on my behalf.

Is this toxic of me?? He and I have talked about this ad nauseam and let me be clear he would do it without hesitation, if the situation presented itself. I do not want to see him beat up and have agreed not to start anything with any strangers just to see this go down... so who knows if it will ever happen but I mean a girl can dream. Ya'll let me know if I am crazy for this lol.

That is my complete list for the time being! Of course please comment anything on your bucket list because I would love to read them. If you haven't started a list, I encourage you to, just because it is fun to have exciting motivating moments to look forward to, no matter how big or small!
